Hosted at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, this inspiring morning will bring together entrepreneurs, executives, professionals, and community leaders for recognition, meaningful conversation, and powerful networking.
The program will feature honoree recognition followed by a dynamic leadership discussion titled “The Crown We Carry: Identity, Leadership & Advocacy,” exploring authenticity, representation, and leadership impact across industries and communities.
Christina Romelus is a lifelong public servant and CEO of PolitiCALM. First elected to public office at age 27 — just two weeks before the birth of her second son — she began her tenure serving as Vice Mayor and Commissioner of Boynton Beach, where she championed affordable housing, small business funding, and community beautification. A devoted servant leader, Christina has worked as a nurse, served as a missionary abroad, and taught Anatomy and Physiology at Palm Beach State College. She advocates for increased access to education and greater representation in leadership. Christina lives in Boynton Beach with her husband Darren and their two boys.
Shawn Ho-Hing King is a visionary leader, master networker, and dynamic super-connector who has dedicated her life to empowering the next generation. As Founder and President of the Talented Teen Club (TTC), she has spent over two decades building transformative programs that reach, teach, guide, and inspire underserved youth to lead healthy and productive lives. Under her leadership, TTC serves more than 1,000 students annually across Palm Beach County through free tutoring, mentorship, leadership development, workforce training, athletics, and essential support services.
A multi-hyphenate entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist, Shawn is widely recognized for her ability to build powerful partnerships and mobilize communities around purpose. She has secured support from major sponsors including
Henry Nias Foundation, Truist Bank, Children's Services Council, Publix, the United Way of Palm Beach County, and the, expanding TTC’s impact and positioning it for national growth. Her work has earned local media recognition and deep respect throughout the region.

Evelyn Metellus is a distinguished beauty professional, entrepreneur, and master stylist known for her commitment to excellence and service within the salon industry. As a visionary leader and salon owner, she has established a reputation for delivering exceptional hair care, luxury extensions, and personalized treatments that enhance confidence and elevate each client’s image. Her dedication to professionalism, innovation, and client satisfaction continues to position her as a trusted authority in beauty and wellness.
Beyond the salon, Evelyn is the founder of the Born Beautiful Hair Loss Foundation, a nonprofit organization devoted to supporting individuals experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions and life transitions. Through compassionate outreach, education, and restorative hair solutions, she remains deeply committed to uplifting the community and restoring confidence for those in need. Her work reflects a powerful blend of artistry, leadership, and service, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact both inside and outside the beauty industry.
Shauna Fennell Hawkins is the President of ECF Engineering Consultants, a multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting firm she co-founded in 2011. Since its inception, she has been instrumental in growing the company from a five-employee startup into an organization of approximately 170 professionals serving the energy, public, and private sectors.
With more than 20 years of experience in progressively responsible leadership roles, Shauna brings a strategic and results-driven approach to organizational growth, project execution, and team development. Her career spans both the public and private sectors, including work with electrical utilities, project developers, and government entities. She is recognized for her ability to build scalable systems, cultivate high-performing teams, and lead through change in complex environments.
As a woman leader in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Shauna is passionate about mentorship, workforce development, and creating pathways for minorities and women to thrive in leadership roles. Under her leadership, ECF has built a culture rooted in quality, integrity, and collaboration, while continuing to deliver innovative, end-to-end engineering solutions that make a meaningful impact on the industries and communities it serves.
Located in the heart of downtown Lake Worth Beach, the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County serves as the county’s official arts agency and a vibrant hub for creativity, culture, and community engagement. The venue features contemporary gallery spaces and a welcoming environment that celebrates local artists and cultural experiences. Attendees will enjoy an elegant setting designed to foster connection, inspiration, and meaningful conversation during this signature Women’s History Month celebration.
We have free parking – 2 parking lots behind our building on Lake Avenue and L street and also Lake Avenue and K street. Parking is permitted on street and for 4 hours. Arrival: Please enter through the main gallery entrance and proceed to the event check-in area.
