Director of Advancement
Director of Advancement
Hiring Range: $63,784-$70,000 annually + excellent benefits package!
Our Advancement team has a fantastic opportunity for a Director who will be responsible for developing new relationships with sponsors and community partners that includes and goes beyond traditional financial support. We aspire to work with others that are passionate about building girls of courage, character and confidence - today, tomorrow and in 2030! You might be the right person for this role if you are:
- Motivated by making new connections who can advance our mission;
- Love that no two days will be the same;
- A collaborator who enjoys being part of a team, while owning your own role.
What will a typical day look like in this role?
Do you enjoy variety? It's nearly impossible to describe what a typical day will look like because no two days will ever be the same! Some days you'll be attending a Chamber of Commerce meeting or speaking to a Kiwanis Club to connect with potential new partners; other days you might be securing a new sponsor for our Emerald Awards event or talking to a corporation about funding the start-up of a new troop that serves girls attending Title 1 schools. Other days you'll be contributing to the department's strategic plans and goals, supporting your teammates with day-of management of signature events, or securing sponsors for program events like our High Awards that honor girls who are bettering our community through inspiring, unique, and legacy-leaving service projects.
The Director of Advancement will join a team consisting of a Grants Manager and Events & Campaigns Manager. All positions currently report directly to the Vice President of Advancement.
This is a position that will work out of a private office at our fabulous Lake Worth headquarters, unless business meetings take them out into the community. While this role includes many evening and weekend hours in excess of 37 hours per week, an adjusted time policy allows team members to earn additional time off when excess hours are worked.
Who are we seeking?
- An individual who is ready, willing and capable of building compelling cases for community support.
- Someone committed to performing their work using a diversity, equity and inclusion lens.
- A dynamic individual with the ability to collaborate, speak publicly and "close" new sources of support.
What else will you need?
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of five years recent, relevant experience required.
- Working knowledge of Donor Perfect or similar databases preferred.
- Experience working in a nonprofit organization preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
What will you get?
We are an energetic group that works really hard, but we also like to have lots of FUN!
