Manager of Community Outreach (Full-Time, On-Site)

About the Role:
The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a passionate and dynamic Manager of Community Outreach to serve as a liaison between the Center and the local community, with a focus on engaging and supporting underserved populations. This role will foster partnerships, create accessible opportunities for community members to experience the performing arts, and represent the Kravis Center at key cultural and community events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement & Partnerships: Develop relationships with local nonprofits, community leaders, and stakeholders to enhance community engagement, particularly for underserved communities. Serve as the primary liaison for events such as the PEAK Series, Gospel Gala, Electric Root residency, and community festivals.
- Accessibility & Inclusion: Collaborate with nonprofit organizations to develop and promote subsidized ticket programming, expanding access to Kravis Center performances for low-income individuals and marginalized groups. Work with artists to create inclusive, community-driven engagement experiences.
- Public Representation & Advocacy: Act as a brand ambassador for the Kravis Center by attending cultural and public events to promote the Center’s programs and mission.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Programming, Marketing, Education, and Box Office teams to ensure alignment between community outreach strategies and organizational goals. Support major events such as National Dance Day, the Kravis Center Block Party, and Immigrant Community programs. Serve as the Community Relations Committee staff liaison.
- Program Implementation & Evaluation: Assist in coordinating and executing community events, collecting feedback, and analyzing data to improve outreach initiatives. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of community programs.
- Mission & Communication Strategy: Effectively communicate the Kravis Center’s mission and values, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility in all community engagement efforts. Assist in public relations and outreach campaigns to promote community-centered programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong writing, organizational, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of performing arts, cultural engagement, and community development strategies.
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate across departments.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for community events.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Cross-cultural competency with experience in diverse community engagement.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
